Originally a tiny fishing village, Los Cristianos is now a well established holiday resort and has some of the best self catering holiday apartments in Tenerife. It is a short 20 minute taxi ride from the Reina Sofa airport and is centrally located to all major golf courses. The town centre and beach is about a 15 minute walk from Royal Palm.

With the town centre closed to traffic, it's a pleasure to take a leisurely stroll, stopping at one of the many cafes or bars, or perhaps souvenir hunting from the wide range of shops. After dark, Los Cristianos takes on a continental atmosphere and is more relaxed than its lively neighbour, Playa de las Americas.

It's wide sandy beach is very popular with the local Spanish residents and is protected from the Atlantic Ocean by a large harbour wall. The harbour promenade has an excellent range of restaurants to choose from. At night, it becomes the focal point of the town and it's many bars often feature live night time entertainment.

Sunday is market day in Los Cristianos. The market is located next to the Arona Gran hotel at the far end of the harbour promenade. The various stalls sell a wide variety of goods that you would expect to see on sale in a tourist resort ranging from handbags, shoes, linen, decorative ornaments, jewellery, watches, etc. As always, it is wise to check the quality before you buy.
